Filipa Melo is a Portuguese writer, literary critic, and journalist affiliated with Lusófona University, where she coordinates and teaches the Post-Graduation in Fiction Writing. She has worked for over three decades in disseminating classical and contemporary literature through press, television, and cultural events.
- Education: Licenciatura in Communication Sciences from Nova University Lisbon Faculty of Social and Human Sciences.
Her research and professional work spans Humanities and Communication Sciences, with a focus on specific literatures and cultural analysis. She has authored notable works such as the novels Este É o Meu Corpo (2001) and Dicionário Sentimental do Adultério (2017), as well as the nonfiction Os Últimos Marinheiros (2015).
She actively contributes to Ler magazine (as editor) and Sábado magazine, directing writing workshops, overseeing communication for the Ensaios e Retratos program at the Francisco Manuel dos Santos Foundation, coordinating international writing residencies at the Dom Luís I Foundation, and serving on the advisory council of the Eça de Queiroz Foundation.
