Alexander Fidora is an ICREA Research Professor at the Department of Ancient and Medieval Studies, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain). His research focuses on medieval philosophy, cross-cultural transmission of texts, religious polemics, and Catalan medieval literature. He holds ERC grants for projects on Latin texts and their translations, and has been honored with the Samuel Toledano Prize (2012) and Premi Internacional Catalònia (2011).
His academic career includes roles such as Vice-President of the Society for Medieval Philosophy (SIEPM), Executive Director of the Institut d'Estudis Medievals, and President of the Spanish Society of Medieval Philosophy.
