Fidel Cacheda Seijo is a Professor at the University of A Coruña in the Faculty of Computer Science, Department of Computer Science and Information Technology. He belongs to the Telematics Research Group with research lines in Information Retrieval, Cybersecurity, and Recommendation Systems. He has evaluated teaching merits for 5 five-year periods and research merits for 5 six-year terms.
His research focuses on three primary areas:
- Information Retrieval: Development of advanced search and information discovery systems
- Cybersecurity: Analysis and protection against digital threats
- Recommendation Systems: Algorithms for personalized content delivery
He has directed multiple doctoral theses and supervised numerous final degree projects.
