Ms Fezile Osum is a Research Scholar and Lecturer in Human Rights at the School of Law, University of Central Lancashire, Cyprus. She holds a PhD in Law (2020-2025), LLM in Human Rights Law from Istanbul Bilgi University (2017), and LLB from the University of Kent (2013). Her research focuses on Transitional Justice, International Criminal Law, Refugee Law, Gender Studies, and Anti-Trafficking. She has presented at conferences such as the EU Anti-Trafficking Day Panel (2019) and the DMW International Annual Summit (2017).
Professionally, she has served as Project Coordinator at the Refugee Rights Association (2019–present), Legal Advisor for UNHCR/SOS Children’s Village (2017–2019), and Legal Advisor for the Initiative for Freedom of Expression (2014–2016). She is a Board Member of the Refugee Rights Association and Queer Cyprus Association, and a member of the Cyprus Turkish Bar Association.
