Fernando Mancilla-David is a full Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Colorado Denver, affiliated with the College of Engineering, Design and Computing. He specializes in power systems, renewable energy integration, and smart grid technologies. He holds a BS from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María (Chile), and M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on sustainable energy systems, converter dynamics, and grid modernization.
Dr. Mancilla-David has held visiting professorships at institutions worldwide, including L’Ecole Supérieure d’Electricité (France), Berlin Institute of Technology (Germany), and the Technical University of Catalonia (Spain). During 2016-2017, he was on sabbatical at PUC-Rio University in Brazil.
