Fernando Angulo

Dr. Fernando Angulo-Ruiz is a Professor at MacEwan University's School of Business, affiliated with the Department of International Business, Marketing, Strategy and Law. He holds a PhD and MSc in Marketing and Market Research from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and Växjö University (Sweden). As a member of the Research Institute for Urban Wellness, he focuses on hybrid organizations, Indigenous businesses, and organizational capabilities.

His research explores hybrid organizations, Indigenous business internationalization, and organizational capabilities across domestic and global contexts. Using interdisciplinary frameworks, he investigates how cultural values, networks, and resources influence entrepreneurial success.

Recent publications in Journal of Business Ethics and International Marketing Review highlight his work on marketing ethics, Indigenous entrepreneurship, and higher education institutional reputation. He has secured grants from SSHRC and the European-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research.

Dr. Angulo teaches marketing research, international entrepreneurship, and strategic management. He mentors students in MARK 498 and MARK/INTB 499, guiding 89 students to publish in academic journals. His applied work with 83 Edmonton organizations has influenced strategic decision-making.

He serves on the Editorial Review Board of the Journal of Business Research and is actively involved in international research projects.
