Dr. Fengwei Bai is a Professor at the University of Southern Mississippi, specializing in virology and immunology. He manages USDA-certified Biosafety-Level 3 (BSL3) facilities for cell culture and animal research, fostering collaborations with academia and industry. His research focuses on viral recognition by the host immune system and vaccine development against viral pathogens, funded by NIH and research foundations.
Dr. Bai holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from Fudan University (2002) and completed postdoctoral training at Yale University School of Medicine. He teaches advanced courses in Immunology, Virology, and Viral Pathogenesis.
