Dr. Feng Lu is a Research Scientist at the Helmerich Research Center / Advanced Materials Characterization Center (Core Labs) within the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Oklahoma State University. He is affiliated with the School of Materials, Mechatronics & Manufacturing Engineering. His office is located at HRC - 244, Tulsa, OK 74106-0700. Dr. Lu holds a Ph.D. (2009) and M.S. (2005) in Materials Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and an M.S. (2001) and B.S. (1998) in Materials Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University.
His research focuses on Superconductors, Electric Steels, and advanced Materials Synthesis techniques (e.g., thin films, wires, powders). He specializes in Materials Testing, Microstructure Characterization, Electromagnetic Measurements, and Statistical Analysis.
Dr. Lu teaches MSE 5030: Practical and Case Studies of Advanced Materials Characterization Techniques. He is part of the Core Labs facility, which provides advanced materials analysis resources.
