About
Felix Miesen is a researcher at Dresden University of Technology, affiliated with the Research Training Group 2323 and the Psychology of Learning and Instruction. His work focuses on human-machine interaction in modular process plants, integrating principles of chemical engineering, cyber-physical systems, and complex problem-solving methodologies. He collaborates with the Process Control Systems and Process Engineering Group and the Process-to-Order (P2O) Lab.
In his recent publication, Miesen developed four experimental scenarios for modular process plants to evaluate operator performance under varying complexity levels. These scenarios, based on a neutralization process, explore operator actions at process, role, and equipment levels, emphasizing adaptability and parameter optimization.
As a corresponding author, Miesen contributes to advancing understanding of operator competencies in next-generation production systems, supported by funding from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) through RTG2323 and the CeTI Cluster of Excellence.
