Felipe Jose Gil Castiñeira

Felipe Jose Gil Castiñeira serves as a full-time University Teacher at the University of Vigo, affiliated with the School of Telecommunications Engineering and Department of Telematics Engineering. He actively participates in the Research Center for Telecommunication Technologies and leads the TC1 Information Technology Group at the Vigo campus.

Holding a Doctorate from the University of Vigo (2007), his doctoral research focused on Contribution to the integration of mobile networks and short-range detection systems, supervised by Dr. Pedro Salvador Rodríguez Hernández and Dr. José María Pousada Carballo.

His research concentrates on Telecommunications and Information Technology, with specialized expertise in Mobile Networks and Short-Range Detection Systems. His work explores integration methodologies between wireless communication infrastructures and proximity-based sensing technologies, emphasizing practical applications in telematics engineering.
