Felipe Jimenez Alonso

Felipe Jimenez Alonso is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He serves as Deputy Director of the University Institute of Automotive Research (INSIA) and leads the Research Group on Safety and Environmental Impact of Vehicles and Transport (GIVET) as Principal Investigator.

His research spans Automotive Engineering, Transportation Science & Technology, Environmental Studies, and Analytical Chemistry, with additional work in Control and Systems Engineering, Computer Science Applications, and Civil and Structural Engineering. His studies address critical challenges in vehicle safety and environmental sustainability.

In his leadership roles at INSIA and GIVET, he directs research projects and fosters innovation in automotive technology.
