Felicity McLure

Dr. Felicity McLure is a Senior Lecturer in Education at Charles Darwin University, with 13 years of experience as a Science teacher and Head of Science in international and Australian schools. Her research focuses on integrated STEM education, learning environments, and gender dynamics in science classrooms. She investigates classroom emotional climate, student-generated representations for conceptual understanding, and the Thinking Frames Approach to teaching science.

Current projects include collaboration with Curtin University to analyze STEM integration discourse practices. Her work emphasizes multidimensional conceptual change methodologies, aiming to enhance student engagement and self-efficacy in science. McLure has contributed to publications on gender-based engagement in integrated STEM settings and system-wide school reforms.
