Felicia Rhapsody Lopez is an Assistant Professor of Chicanx Studies, Literature, and Environmental Humanities at the University of California, Merced. Her work bridges disciplinary lines and connects ancient and contemporary cultures through the lens of Borderlands theory.

Dr. Lopez teaches courses including Native American Memoir, Mesoamerican Literature and Culture, and Chicanx Literature. Her scholarly work focuses on recovering and maintaining the epistemology of Indigenous Nahua writer-painters through decipherment of pictorial texts and creating academic and community spaces dedicated to engagement at the intersections of art, language, culture, and activism.
Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree from UC Berkeley and a PhD from UC Santa Barbara. She has held postdoctoral fellowships at UC Santa Barbara (Religious Studies), UC Davis (Native American Studies), and UCLA (History).
