Federica Buffa

Federica Buffa is an Associate Professor at the Department of Economics and Management, University of Trento. Her academic career includes roles as a researcher and lecturer, focusing on business economics and sustainable tourism management. She holds a PhD in Business Economics from Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and a Laurea in Economics from the University of Trento.

Her research interests center on multi-stakeholder governance, SME strategy, consumer behavior, and sustainable tourism. Notable projects include studies on destination management in Alpine regions and environmental strategies in hotels. She collaborates internationally with institutions like the University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and Thompson Rivers University (Canada).

Buffa has received awards including the 2024 Outstanding Reviewer Award and 2016 Best Paper Award. Her teaching spans courses in tourism management, stakeholder theory, and sustainable development. She also contributes to institutional roles like the ENAIP Vocational Training Program and disability inclusion initiatives at her department.
