Federica Braccioli is an Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) at the Department of Economics of WU Vienna University of Economics and Business. She holds a PhD from the University of Geneva (2023) and has held previous affiliations including the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE) and the Institute for Economic Analysis (IAE-CSIC). Her research focuses on Political Economy (contract enforcement institutions, organized crime persistence) and Labour Economics (college choice impacts on labor markets). She has published in top venues and received the European Economic Association Young Economist Award 2023.

Research interests also include development economics and institutional analysis. She has conducted visiting research at Stanford GSB, UCLA Anderson, Bocconi University, UC Berkeley, and New York University.
