Fazeel Khan

Fazeel Khan is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Miami University. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (2003), an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (1998), and a B.A. in Physics (1996) from Middlebury College. His research focuses on biocompatible polymers for orthopedic implants, shape memory polymers, and aerospace materials. He has collaborated with the Air Force Research Lab and secured funding from NSF, DOD, and ASEE.

His academic roles include teaching materials science and advising Miami University's MME Baja Team, an off-road vehicle engineering project. Key professional experiences include postdoctoral work at RPI's Nano-Engineering Lab and teaching roles at RPI and as an instructor for engineering design software. Khan has published extensively in materials science and education-focused journals, emphasizing experimental and computational methods in polymer behavior analysis.
