Fayth Butler

Fayth Butler, PhD, holds dual roles as an Associate Professor in the School of Public Health and the Biochemistry Division of the School of Medicine, as well as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Loma Linda University. Her research focuses on preventive medicine, public health, and epidemiology, with a particular emphasis on dietary practices, cancer risk, and cardiometabolic health.

Her work includes studies on vegetarian populations, such as the Adventist Health Study-2 cohort, and investigations into the effects of macadamia nuts on metabolic risk factors. She also explores biomarker analysis through metabolomics, particularly in diverse racial groups. Butler has contributed to consortium-based research, including the Cancer Risk in Vegetarians Consortium, analyzing participant characteristics and study methodologies.

Her publications reflect interdisciplinary collaborations across nutrition, oncology, and clinical epidemiology, emphasizing evidence-based approaches to public health outcomes.
