Faye Ellis

Faye Ellis is a Teaching Professor in the Biology department at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she has taught since 2005. She holds both a B.S. and M.S. in Biology from UWL, specializing in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Her teaching focuses on laboratory instruction in Genetics, Cell Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and she developed a graduate course on Effective Teaching Strategies for Science Laboratory TAs.

She prioritizes inclusive education, emphasizing student support and accessibility. In 2017, she received the Eagle Teaching Excellence Award recognizing her dedication to teaching. Though not currently conducting research, her career has centered on fostering student success through hands-on laboratory education.
