Dr. Fatma Bouabdallah is a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Plymouth's School of Engineering, Computing and Mathematics. She holds an M.S. in Network and Computer Science from Sorbonne University (2006), a Ph.D. in Computer Science from INRIA Rennes (2008), and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Waterloo (2010). Previously an Associate Professor at King Abdulaziz University until 2024, she earned her Habilitation (HDR) from Université Paris-Est (2022) and Professorship Qualification from the French Ministry of Education (2023).
Her research focuses on integrated communication networks, IoT systems, machine learning applications in networking, and sensor network design. Key areas include LPWAN technologies (LoRa, SigFox), reinforcement learning optimization, and cross-layer modeling for performance enhancement in terrestrial and aquatic environments.
