Faris Al Naemi

Dr Faris Al Naemi is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Engineering and Mathematics at the College of Business, Technology and Engineering. He holds a PhD, MSc, and BEng in engineering disciplines. His research focuses on electrical engineering, power electronics, renewable energy systems, and building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV). He collaborates with Cardiff University and international companies to advance sustainable building technologies and energy efficiency solutions. Key interests include smart glazing systems, thermal management in commercial buildings, and electromagnetic applications in power systems. Dr Al Naemi has supervised doctoral students in areas like STPV integration, fault current limiters, and organic solar cells. He contributes actively to conferences like UPEC and publishes in journals such as Energy Science & Engineering and IET Circuits, Devices & Systems.
