Fan Li is Professor of Statistical Science and Biostatistics & Bioinformatics at Duke University. His research focuses on causal inference applications in health, policy, and social science, with expertise in propensity scores, clinical trials, and machine learning interfaces. He develops methods for difference-in-differences, regression discontinuity, and representation learning.
Li earned his PhD from Johns Hopkins University and BS from Peking University. Currently serving as PI on NIH/NIGMS grants developing statistical methods for pharmacological research, he previously received NSF funding for hyperpolarization techniques in chemical analysis.
