Dr. Faiza Muhammad Din is a Lecturer in Societies and Cultures of South Asia at the Institute for Asian and African Studies (IAAW), Humboldt University Berlin. Since October 2023, she has designed immersive Urdu language courses for beginners through advanced learners, integrating cultural elements like films, theater, and music into her pedagogy.
Her research bridges Muslim women's studies, gender and language, and Islamic ecotheology, with a regional focus on South and Southeast Asia. She previously coordinated the transregional project Women's Pathways to Professionalization in Muslim Asia, examining intersections of religious knowledge, digital networks, and women's career trajectories.
