Facundo Rabaudi

Facundo Rabaudi is an Adjunct Associate Professor in the field of Entertainment Design, bringing over 25 years of professional experience in feature animation, television, and commercials. He specializes in visual development and model making, with a technical skill set that includes digital modeling in Maya and traditional model craftsmanship. He has served as a lecturer and arts instructor at DreamWorks Animation and other venues, teaching courses such as ECPT-152-02 and ECPT-152-03: Lighting Fundamentals.

His research and creative interests span the domains of Animation, Visual Development, Entertainment Design, Digital Modeling, and Lighting in Animation. With a career deeply rooted in storytelling through visual media, Rabaudi has contributed to numerous iconic animated franchises, shaping the aesthetic and conceptual design of major studio productions.

Throughout his career, Rabaudi has worked on landmark animated films and series, including Shrek, Madagascar, How to Train Your Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, Puss in Boots, and The Bad Guys. He has also contributed to Netflix series such as 3Below: Tales of Arcadia and Trollhunters, and earlier works like Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach. His work reflects a strong trend in narrative-driven, high-quality visual development across both theatrical and streaming platforms.

He has exhibited his artwork internationally at prestigious venues including the Arts & Science Museum in Singapore, Seoul Museum of Art, UCLA, and ArtCenter. As an educator and practitioner, he bridges industry excellence with academic instruction, mentoring emerging artists in lighting and design principles.
