Fabiola Barrios-Landeros

Dr. Fabiola Barrios-Landeros is an Assistant Professor of Chemistry at The Cooper Union's Albert Nerken School of Engineering. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), an M.S. and Ph.D. in Organometallic Chemistry from Yale University, and completed postdoctoral research at the University of Basel. Her research focuses on reaction mechanisms involving transition metals, catalytic processes, and developing novel copper-catalyzed aromatic acyloxylation reactions. Dr. Barrios-Landeros emphasizes diversity and inclusion in STEM, aligning with Cooper Union's values. She previously taught at Columbia University and Yeshiva University, where she mentored 5 honors theses and contributed to undergraduate research.
