Fabio Pizzichillo

Fabio Pizzichillo is a Permanent Professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid within the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science Applied to Civil and Naval Engineering. He completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at Università di Bari, followed by a PhD supervised by Luis Vega at BCAM – Basque Center for Applied Mathematics. His post-doctoral work was conducted at CNRS and Université Paris-Dauphine in collaboration with Mathieu Lewin, and he previously held an assistant professorship at Universidad de Cantabria.

His research explores partial differential equations in relativistic quantum mechanics, specializing in linear and non-linear perturbations of the Dirac equation. This work bridges mathematical physics and quantum theory, with emphases on spectral analysis, self-adjoint extensions of Dirac operators, and singular perturbations. He is an active member of the research group Mathematical Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Applied to Engineering.

Publication trends focus on spectral properties of Dirac operators under various boundary conditions and perturbations, with recurring themes in relativistic inequalities, eigenvalue asymptotics, and applications to quantum systems. His works frequently combine operator theory, functional analysis, and geometric methods to address challenges in quantum mechanics.
