Fabio Morabito is an Assistant Professor (promoted to Associate Professor in July 2025) in the Department of Music at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Arts. He specializes in historical musicology, focusing on Western art music of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. His research explores topics such as canon formation, music collecting, performance practices, and the history of musicology. He holds a PhD from King’s College London (2017), and previously held the Lord Crewe Junior Research Fellowship at the University of Oxford (2017–2020).
