Fabien Lacasa

Fabien Lacasa is currently a Maître Assistant at the University of Geneva and Chercheur Associé at the Institut d'Astrophysique Spatiale (IAS) in Université Paris-Saclay. His research focuses on understanding the large-scale structure of the universe through cosmic microwave background studies and galaxy surveys.

His research investigates the distribution of matter, galaxies, and galaxy clusters to understand cosmic content, history, and gravity laws. Key areas include:

• Impact of non-linearity in Large Scale Structure
• Cosmic Microwave Background analysis
• Galaxy clustering and weak lensing methodologies
• Probe combination techniques for cosmological surveys

Lacasa has participated in major observational collaborations including Planck (core team member), Dark Energy Survey, and Euclid mission (multiple working groups). He develops public scientific codes like PySSC for super-sample covariance calculations.

Teaching experience spans mathematics and physics courses at multiple institutions including University of Geneva (Master's level labs), Université Paris-Sud (bachelor physics), and secondary education.
