F. Carson Mencken

F. Carson Mencken is a Professor of Sociology at Baylor University. His research focuses on civic engagement, religiosity, and economic development, particularly in rural contexts. He has been funded by USDA grants and agencies like the Tennessee Valley Authority and the John Templeton Foundation. Mencken holds a Ph.D. from Louisiana State University (1994), an M.A. (1989), and a B.S. from the College of Charleston (1987).
