Ezequiel Ramon-Pinat

Ezequiel Ramon-Pinat serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Philology and Communication at the University of Girona (UdG), teaching within the Cultural Communication degree program. He concurrently conducts research through the Comress-Incom Communication Institute and the Research Group on Power, Media and Global Cultures (POMAC).

His academic foundation includes a Journalism degree alongside Master's and Doctoral qualifications in Media, Communication and Culture, all earned at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Ramon-Pinat's scholarly work critically examines journalism practices, social media dynamics, internet infrastructure, and traditional media ecosystems through the lens of political sociology of communication. His research extends into audiovisual communication methodologies and advertising frameworks, reflecting his departmental specialization in these domains.

He instructs the Audiences and Public Opinion course within the Master's in Journalism and Digital Communication program at the Open University of Catalonia. Internationally, he has held visiting professorships at Norway's University of Bergen and Czech Republic's Charles University in Prague.
