Eylem Bayir

Eylem Bayır is a Professor in the Department of Science Education at Trakya University’s Faculty of Education. Her career includes roles such as Research Assistant (1999–2009), Assistant Professor (2009–2015), and Associate Professor (2015–2020) before achieving her current rank in 2020. She holds a PhD in Chemistry Education from Gazi University (2008).

Her research focuses on science education methodologies, teacher training, inquiry-based learning, and STEM education. Notable projects include developing science games for concept learning, investigating the impact of out-of-school learning activities, and analyzing science textbooks for curriculum alignment. She has advised numerous graduate theses and led projects funded by TÜBİTAK and other institutions.

Key contributions include over 50 publications in journals like International Journal of Science Education and Journal of Chemical Education, and awards such as TÜBİTAK’s International Publication Incentive Award (2012, 2014). She is also active in international organizations like ESERA and has organized conferences promoting innovative teaching strategies.
