Evi Petersen

Evi Petersen is an Associate Professor at Oslo Metropolitan University's Faculty of Education and International Studies, Department of Early Childhood Education (physical education section). With a Master's in Human Movement Sciences and PhD in Culture Studies focusing on human-nature emotional relationships, she investigates nature connectedness, outdoor learning, and health impacts through movement-based research.

• Current projects include Nordic Nature Kindergartens (NORNAK), Outdoor Learning in Higher Education (OLHE/Erasmus+), and GoGreenNext (Horizon Europe)
• Recent publications examine virtual reality's role in nature engagement, green exercise benefits, and solitary nature experiences

Her research integrates environmental psychology and movement science to understand how natural environments affect well-being and sustainable behaviors. She also serves as health and safety representative at BLU, contributing to institutional safety frameworks.
