Evelyne Tauchnitz is a Senior Research Fellow (Post-Doc) at the Lucerne Graduate School in Ethics (LGSE), University of Lucerne, where she is conducting her Habilitation on PeaceTech. She also serves as a Research Associate at the Centre for Technology and Global Affairs (CTGA), University of Oxford, coordinating the Global PeaceTech project. She holds a PhD in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva and was a Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence.
Her research focuses on the ethical and human rights implications of digital transformation in peacebuilding, conflict transformation, and international relations. She has conducted fieldwork in Ethiopia, Mexico, and India, and her work blends qualitative and quantitative methodologies. She has been recognized with the Young Global Changer (2017) and a grant from the Falling Walls Foundation (2016).
Evelyne teaches in the Master's Program in Ethics at the University of Lucerne and has contributed to projects funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), exploring political discourses and state violence legitimacy. She has also advised governmental and civil society organizations, including the Swiss Parliamentary Services and UNICEF.
