Eve Collins

Dr Eve Collins is the Head of the School of Nursing and Midwifery in the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Society at the University of Chester. She provides strategic leadership for undergraduate and postgraduate nursing and midwifery programs, with over twenty years of experience in Higher Education. A registered Adult Nurse and Senior Fellow of Advance HE, she serves as an Appointed Governor for Wirral Community NHS Trust and participates in university committees.

Her publications include studies on mobile health applications for dementia care, physical health assessment in mental health practice, and healthcare innovations for serious mental illness. These works emphasize holistic care models, policy implementation, and the need for robust evidence in clinical interventions.

Dr Collins supervises Master's and Doctoral students and leads curriculum development initiatives, including the Social Work Degree Apprenticeship program. Her professional roles span governance, quality assurance, and NHS trust engagement.

She contributes to the Health and Wellbeing Research and Knowledge Exchange Institute and chairs the School of Nursing Quality and Governance Committee, impacting institutional healthcare policy and education standards.
