Evan Fraser is a Professor in Geography, Environment & Geomatics at the University of Guelph and Director of the Arrell Food Institute. His research focuses on food systems transformation under climate change.
Fraser leads Food from Thought, a $76.6M initiative using big data to reduce agriculture's environmental footprint. He co-created Canada's National Food Policy Advisory Council and develops educational materials including video series, graphic novels, and serious games reaching global audiences.
Research areas include agri-technology, digital agriculture, cellular agriculture, and climate-resilient food systems. Fraser has supervised over 35 graduate students and secured >$100M in research funding.
Honors include Fellow of the Trudeau Foundation and Royal Canadian Geographic Society.
