Evan Douglis is Professor and Dean of the School of Architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union and Master of Architecture from Harvard University. As principal of Evan Douglis Studio LLC, he conducts cutting-edge research in computer-aided digital design and fabrication technology applied to gallery installations, product designs, commercial/residential projects, and urban redevelopment schemes.
His research interests include:
- Digital design and fabrication technology
- Computational design methodologies
- Prefabricated modular building systems
- Urban redevelopment strategies
- Interdisciplinary design applications
His publications include the book Autogenic Structures published by Taylor & Francis, exploring digital design paradigms. His work has been exhibited internationally at venues including SAM Swiss Architecture Museum, ARCHILAB in France, MOCA Museum Los Angeles, and the Rotterdam/London Biennales.
