Evan Adamson

Evan Adamson is an Adjunct Professor at the State University of New York at Purchase, affiliated with the Conservatory of Theatre Arts and the Theatre Design/Technology program. A graduate of SUNY Purchase (BFA, 2003), he is a New York City-based scenery designer with over 20 years of experience in theatre and live entertainment.

His career spans diverse projects, including Broadway productions, international collaborations in Europe and Asia, and high-profile events like the Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony in Sochi, Russia. Adamson has contributed to 15 Broadway productions—half of which received Tony Award nominations or wins—and over 100 regional U.S. shows. He is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.

He has been featured in the book How Broadway Works and has worked extensively with renowned designers such as Santo Loquasto, Es Devlin, and Bob Crowley. His international credits include landmark productions for Stage Entertainment in Italy, Germany, and beyond, as well as pioneering non-English language performances of Once and Aladdin in South Korea and Japan.
