Eva Wittenberg

Eva Wittenberg is an Associate Professor in the Department of Cognitive Science at Central European University (CEU), Vienna. She holds dual leadership roles as Co-Director of the Social Mind Center and Principal Investigator of the Center for Belief Update and Debiasing (DEBIAS), focusing on human cognition and reasoning processes.

Her research spans interdisciplinary cognitive science with emphasis on:

• Social cognition mechanisms
• Debiasing techniques in decision-making
• Belief update dynamics
• Language comprehension processes

Dr. Wittenberg directs the Language Comprehension Lab and integrates experimental approaches across the Social Mind Center and DEBIAS initiatives to investigate cognitive biases and social reasoning.
