Eva Strand

Dr. Eva Strand is Professor of Rangeland Ecology and Associate Dean at the University of Idaho's College of Natural Resources. Her research utilizes geospatial tools to study fire regimes, fuels management, and ecosystem resilience in western U.S. rangelands.

She leads landscape-scale investigations into post-fire recovery, shrub-grassland dynamics, and pinyon-juniper encroachment impacts. Strand's work informs federal land management policies through models predicting fire behavior and treatment effectiveness.
