Eva S. Lefkowitz

Dr. Eva S. Lefkowitz is a Professor and Department Head at the University of Connecticut's Department of Psychology. Her research focuses on sexual health across adolescence and adulthood, LGBTQ+ college students' well-being, and romantic relationship dynamics. She leads major studies such as the CREW 2 and DASH initiatives, examining topics like LGBTQ+ experiences during the pandemic and sexual health development. Dr. Lefkowitz has authored over 111 publications, with recent works addressing religious influences on sexual behavior, strategies for managing desire discrepancies in relationships, and longitudinal studies on adolescent development. Her work integrates qualitative and quantitative methods to explore identity, communication, and health outcomes. She actively mentors graduate students and collaborates with institutions like UConn Health. Her research emphasizes the intersection of gender, religiosity, and sexual behavior, with a focus on marginalized populations.
