Eva Maria Hille is a Doctoral Researcher in the Department of (Social) Ethics at the Faculty of Protestant Theology, University of Bonn. She holds a Magister Theologiae (Mag. Theol.) in Protestant Theology from Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg and completed an Erasmus semester in Orthodox Theology at the University of Bucharest. Supported by the Deutschlandstipendium Scholarship (2015–2021), her interdisciplinary research focuses on AI ethics, medical ethics, and algorithmic biases in healthcare, with a particular emphasis on emerging technologies' societal impacts.
Her current work as a doctoral candidate involves investigating procedural issues of control and consent in contactless sensor technologies within health sectors, alongside qualitative-empirical studies on public attitudes toward these technologies. She is affiliated with Collaborative Research Center SFB 1483 EmpkinS (DFG-funded), the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation (bidt), and the Young Researchers Group Ethics and Governance of Emerging Technologies. Her research explores intersections between ethics, technology governance, and social justice, particularly in healthcare and global water crises.
Recent research stays include the University of Vienna (June 2023) and University of Oslo (March 2023), reflecting her commitment to international collaboration. She participates in bidt's Graduate Centre and the MeTra mentoring program at the University of Bonn, enhancing her academic trajectory through interdisciplinary dialogue and professional development.
