Eva Gil

Eva Gil is an Assistant Professor of Theatre in Acting at Western Washington University. Her roles include educator, actor, director, and producer with over two decades of experience across Chicago, New York, and regional theaters. She holds an MFA in Acting from Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House and is an Associate Teacher at the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium. She is currently pursuing certification as an Intimacy Director.

Research interests focus on pedagogical approaches to acting techniques, particularly the Michael Chekhov Technique, and contemporary practices in intimacy direction. Her work bridges academic theatre education with professional performance.

Teaching experience includes positions at Sul Ross State University, Northern Kentucky University, Wright State University, Dobama Theatre, Miami University (Ohio), Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Hathaway Brown, and City College of New York.

Labs/Teams: Active member of the Great Lakes Michael Chekhov Consortium where she contributes as an Associate Teacher.
