Eun Hee Woo is an Affiliated Researcher at the Graduate School of East Asian Studies (GEAS) at Freie Universität Berlin since 2017. She held the GEAS Award PostDoc from 2016 to 2017. Her research focuses on Korean political science, party recruitment, and comparative institutional analysis, with expertise in party politics, democracy, governmental systems, electoral systems, social movements, institutionalism, and studies of Asia and Europe.
Education: She completed her M.A. in Political Science & International Relations at Ewha Woman’s University in 2013, with a dissertation titled "The Political Institutionalization of Single-Issue Movements: Comparing Environmental and Women’s Movements in West Germany during the 1970’s and 1980’s".
Research Interests: Her work bridges comparative politics and institutional analysis, examining how single-issue movements institutionalize within political systems, particularly in West Germany. She also explores democratic governance structures and cross-regional comparisons between Asia and Europe.
