Eugene Volokh

Eugene Volokh is a Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and the Thomas M. Siebel Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution. His work spans legal scholarship, advocacy, and education, with a focus on constitutional law and intellectual property.

• Education: B.S. in Mathematics-Computer Science from UCLA

Volokh is renowned for his contributions to First Amendment jurisprudence, authoring influential textbooks (The First Amendment and Related Statutes, Academic Legal Writing) and founding the widely read legal blog The Volokh Conspiracy. His scholarship has been cited in over 300 court opinions, including 10 U.S. Supreme Court cases, and 5,000+ academic articles.
