Eugene Michail

Eugene Michail is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Humanities and Social Science at the University of Brighton. He holds a PhD and MA in Contemporary History from Sussex University and a BA in History and Archaeology from the University of Athens. He joined the University of Brighton in 2014 after academic positions at the University of Sussex and Queen’s University in Canada.

His research centers on contemporary European cultural and transnational histories, with a focus on Greece, the Balkans, Britain, and Germany. Key themes include:
