Esther Martin is a Professor at the University of Rouen Normandy, affiliated with the UFR Letters and Human Sciences. Her expertise focuses on Roman philosophy, Cicero's works, and ancient political thought. She holds an Aggregation in Classical Letters (1993) and a Doctorate in Roman Philosophy (2008).
Research Interests: Specializes in Cicero's rhetorical strategies, political discourse analysis, and the intersection of poetry and law in classical antiquity. Her work explores themes of civil conflict, reconciliation, and the role of eloquence in Roman political crises. Recent publications include co-editing conference proceedings on civil war idealizations and analyzing Ciceronian rhetoric in the Philippics.
