Esther Hilde Laird Eriksen

Esther Hilde Laird Eriksen is a project manager for school development at the Center for Lifelong Learning (LUP) within the Faculty of Teacher Education and Pedagogy at the University of Innlandet. A trained social anthropologist and associate professor, she has further education in guidance, school management, and process management.

• Extensive experience as a teacher and manager in upper secondary schools
• Subject advisor for schools with familiarity with the school owner perspective
• Spent years abroad in Spain and Latin America working with primary/secondary education

Research Focus:
Her professional interests center on development work at multiple levels of the educational ecosystem. Key areas include:

• Cultural dynamics of schools and municipalities
• Complexity of organizational change processes
• Active involvement strategies for learning and change management
• Innovative teaching methods promoting student engagement, motivation, and mastery belief
