Esin Yoruk is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Resilient Business and Society (CRBS), Coventry University, where she conducts research and teaches across undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs. Her work centers on innovation management, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development, with a strong emphasis on gender inclusivity, emerging technologies, and socio-economic transformation in both developed and developing contexts.
She holds a PhD in Innovation Management and Science and Technology Policy from the University of Sussex. Her prior experience includes a research fellowship at University College London (UCL), where she contributed to EU FP7 projects AEGIS and GRINCOH, focusing on knowledge-based entrepreneurship and regional innovation in Central and Eastern Europe.
Her research explores how emerging technologies such as electric mobility and AI impact small business ecosystems, especially for women entrepreneurs in low-income countries. She leads a British Council and UK government-funded project in Kenya examining how electric mobility can empower women entrepreneurs. Her methodological expertise includes quantitative analysis using STATA, SPSS, and Smart PLS, as well as qualitative methods like case studies and QCA.
Her recent publications span topics including destructive entrepreneurship, AI for SMEs, green technology adoption, and women's empowerment through entrepreneurship. These works reflect a strong interdisciplinary focus on innovation, sustainability, and inclusive economic growth.

She also serves as an Expert Evaluator for the EU Horizon Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellowships.
Esin Yoruk is involved in multiple research projects, including externally and internally funded initiatives related to green innovation, consumer behavior, and women's entrepreneurship. She regularly presents at international conferences such as the Academy of Management (AoM), where she has served as speaker and session chair.
