Ertan TOY

Ertan Toy is an Assistant Professor at Yıldız Technical University. Born in Istanbul, he completed his undergraduate studies in Graphic Design at Süleyman Demirel University, postgraduate studies in Communication Design at the University of Southampton, and earned his doctorate in Art and Design at Yıldız Technical University.

His research focuses on graphic design, user interface/user experience (UI/UX) design, and the application of virtual and augmented reality technologies in art and design. He established an extended reality laboratory at Yıldız Technical University to explore these areas.

He is a member of the Communication Designers Professional Association and the China International Design Educator Group. His work has been exhibited internationally, spanning four continents, and is part of permanent museum collections.

Ertan Toy has been a faculty member in the Graphic Design Department at Yıldız Technical University since 2018. Previously, he worked at advertising agencies and as a freelance designer.

His professional interests include social responsibility and cultural issues in poster design.
