Ernesto Estrada

Ernesto Estrada is Professor and Chair in Complexity Science at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science, University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, UK, and Director of the Institute of Complex Systems at Strathclyde. His distinguished career spans institutions worldwide including Emory University, CIMAT in Mexico, University of Tokyo, and multiple Spanish universities.

Renowned for developing foundational concepts in network theory including the 'Estrada-Hatano communicability' and 'Estrada index,' his research integrates mathematical rigor with practical applications across chemistry, biology, and social phenomena.
