About
Ermes Peci is a Research Fellow at the Department of Physics (DIFI) of the University of Genova. His work focuses on the fabrication and characterization of 2D materials, particularly transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs), with emphasis on scalable exfoliation techniques and optical property analysis.
Research interests include the development of advanced methods for producing large-area monolayers of TMDs using gold-assisted exfoliation and functionalization with APTES, as well as improving visibility of monolayer MoS2 through backside-illuminated thin films. His work employs imaging spectroscopic ellipsometry for thickness mapping and explores practical applications of these materials.
Recent publications highlight trends in scalable 2D material synthesis, surface engineering, and optoelectronic characterization. Current collaborations span multiple institutions, with co-authors including Nathan Ullberg, Michele Magnozzi, and Francesco Bisio. Research outputs are archived in the IRIS publications system.
